Green Art Center – Prishtina (GAC) was established in 2013 with the aim of contributing to the sustainable development of art and design in a healthy and ecological environment, providing services for shaping our social identity through promoting and implementing ecological practices in the environment in which we live and operate.
This public awareness would be achieved through appropriate civic capacity buildings, education, information, vocational training and assistance to the masses of society in various projects.
Over the years GAC has proven its professional capacity in implementing lot of projects and hundreds of activities, where besides developing professional and managerial capacities as a cooperative and transparent organization it has also succeeded in acquiring professional competences in various fields, in particular in waste management, energy efficiency, empowerment of marginalized groups, development of sustainable plans and concepts, civic activism and the circular economy.
As a dignified representative of civil society in Kosovo and beyond, GAC has shown to be a partner and contractor on which society and institutions can rely. In addition to initiatives and projects funded by GAC and active citizenship itself in Kosovo and the region, GAC has implemented projects funded by international governmental organizations, other international institutions, local institutions, local and international companies but in particular has managed to become a close partner to almost all municipal assemblies where it has respectively built continuous professional cooperation, which goes beyond contractual relations between the parties.
Following the successful implementation of the “Strategic Plan 2015 – 2020”, namely the empowerment of active green clubs in educational institutions throughout the country, the creation of functional waste management plans and models in local governments and, above all, the enhancement of professional capacity GAC staff and partners in the areas in which GAC operates, Green Art Center – Prishtina GAC has approved and started the implementation of the “Strategic Plan 2020-2025”, which is in full harmony with the mission and vision of GAC and aims at further development of GAC, improvement of civic life in Kosovo, further development of professional service capacities within it and in particular the internationalization of GAC.
Vision
Important regional factor, supporting the civil society toward solving environmental problems and promoting sustainable economic and social development, through stimulating the performance of active society and the close cooperation of all acters who are committed in solving common problems.
Mission
Design and implement projects promoting civic values, improving the quality of life in the country and region, creating professional capacities who are able to develop sustainable projects.

Green Art Center – Prishtina (GAC) është themeluar në vitin 2013 me qëllim që të kontribuojë në zhvillimin e qëndrueshëm të artit dhe dizajnit në një mjedis të shëndetshëm dhe ekologjik, duke ofruar shërbime për formimin e identitetit tonë shoqëror, duke promovuar dhe implementuar praktika ekologjike ne ambientin ku ne jetojmë dhe veprojmë.
Ky vetëdijesim publik do të arrihej përmes trajnimeve përkatëse profesionale, edukimit, informimit , aftësimit profesional dhe asistimit të masave të shoqërisë në projekte të ndryshme.
Ndër vite GAC ka dëshmuar kapacitetet e saja profesionale në implementimin e dhjetra projekteve e qindar aktiviteteve, ku krahas zhvillimit të kapaciteteve profesionale dhe menaxheriale si organizatë bashkëpunuese e transparente ka arritur gjithashtu që të përvetësoj kompetenca profesionale në fusha të ndryshme, e në veçanti në menaxhimin e mbeturinave, efiçiencën e energjisë, fuqizimin e grupeve të margjinalizuara, zhvillimin e planeve dhe koncepteve të qëndrueshme, aktivizmin qytetar dhe ekonominë çarkore.
Si përfzqësues dinjitoz i shoqërisë civile në Kosovë dhe më gjerë, GAC ka treguar se është partner dhe kontraktor në të cilën shoqëria dhe institucionet mund të mbështeten. Krahas nismave dhe projekteve të financuara nga GAC dhe vet qyetetaria aktive në Kosovë dhe rajon, GAC ka implementuar projekte të financuara nga organizata qeveritare ndërkombëtare, institucione tjera ndërkombëtare, institucione vendore, kompani vendore dhe ndërkobëtare por në veçanti ka arritur që të bëhet një partner i ngushtë në pothuajse të gjitha kuvendet komunale respektivisht ka ndërtuar bashkëpunim të vazhdueshëm i cili tejkalon raportet kontraktuale në mes palëve.
Pas implementimit me sukses të “Planit strategjik 2015 – 2020”, respektivisht fuqizimit të klubeve të gjelbra aktive në institucionet arsimore në mbarë vendin, krijimin e planeve dhe modeleve funksionale për menaxhimin e mbeturinave në pushtetet lokale dhe mbi të gjitha, ngritjen e kapaciteteve profesionale të personelit të GAC dhe partënerëve të saj në fushat të cilat GAC operon, Green Art Center – Prishtina GAC, ka aprovuar dhe filluar implementimin e “Planit strategjik 2020-2025”, i cili është në harmoni të plotë me misionin dhe vizionin e GAC dhe synon zhvillimin e mëtutjeshëm të GAC, përmirësimin e jetës qytetarë në Kosovë, zhvillimin e mëtutjeshëm të kapaciteteve shërbyese profesionale brenda saj dhe në veçanti ndërkombtarizimin e GAC.
Vizioni
Faktorë i rëndësishëm rajonal i cili shtynë përpara shoqërinë drejt zgjidhjes të problemeve mjedisore dhe zhvillimit të qëndrueshëm ekonomik e shoqëror, duke stimuluar performancën e shoqërisë aktive dhe bashkëpunimin më të ngushtë të të gjithë akterëve të cilët angazhohen në zgjidhjen e problemeve të përbashkëta.
